Based at Singleton in the Hunter Valley

Yancoal Australia also manages five other Australian coal mines on behalf of related parties. Our Ashton Coal Operations include an Underground Mine and Coal Handling Preparation Plant, located in Camberwell. The site operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week_._Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Compliance with environmental approvals, EPL's, EMP's and all other statutory obligations
- Ensuring all environmental monitoring is undertaken in required timeframes
- Supervising contractors and consultants
- Providing support to operational personnel
- Liaising with key stakeholders and the local community
- Reporting on the environmental performance of site
Skills and Experience:
- Degree qualification in Environmental Science or related discipline
- 23 years' experience in an Environment & Community role in the Mining Industry
- Highly developed skills and experience with environmental legislation, regulations and mining principles
- Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills with a solutions focused mindset
- Skilled in hazard identification and highly responsive to environmental issues identified at site
