- built beds was opened**. This facility includes specialised services for adult, older adult, psychiatric intensive care, and a young adult and youth service.

About the Role


As a member of our
dynamic team within the newly established Mental Health Unit kitchen, you will
report directly to the Catering Manager.

Your role will involve operating in a fast-paced team-oriented environment within the new Mental Health Unit kitchen.

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Customer service
  • Setting up, plating and distributing patient meals and beverages
-
Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with
HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards.

  • Dishwashing/pot washing
  • Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
  • Allergy control awareness.

About You


To excel in this position,
we seek a proactive and enthusiastic team member with a
genuine enthusiasm for catering services.

Previous experience in a comparable food service environment, particularly within a clinical setting, will be highly valued.

Ideally you will also bring:

  • Previous experience in a hospital or hospitality environment.
  • Previous customer service experience is essential.
  • Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable).
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

Remuneration:
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
