Senior Project Manager - Utility PV & BESS

A global leader in technology, research and development specializing in PV Inverter System Solution & Energy Storage equipment for Residential, Commercial & Utility-scale applications, our clients have a 25-year track record of growth and success.

The Opportunity

Due to rapid business growth, they are now looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Project Manager to join their ambitious team in North Sydney. Play a pivotal role by joining a top solar solutions supplier, whose ambition is to become the number one supplier in the Australian market across all segments, from residential, commercial to utility-scale.

As the Senior Project Manager for Utility-scale Solar & BESS project sales, you will be part of the Sales team of this leading renewable company and report to the Utility and C&I Director. Entirely office-based position in Sydney.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Utility PV/ESS Pre-Sales Project Sales Management: account & client management, account plan development, project/portfolio management & follow-up.
  • Utility PV/ESS Post-Sales Project Delivery Management: contract management, stakeholder management, schedule management, commissioning coordination and all necessary steps to ensure project is successfully delivered.
  • Internal stakeholders management (project team, delivery team, function team, etc.) and external stakeholders (clients, NSP, consulting, EPC, Authorities etc.) throughout the entire project phase from project opportunity identification to project delivery/commissioning and smooth O&M phase.
  • Contract management and administration with client & subcontractor: leading commercial & legal review for EPC Contract, O&M Contract, Supply Agreement, term sheet, contract schedules, warranty documents etc. with input from internal & external resources.
  • Work with internal & external resources and lead the negotiation with clients, including internal project management activities, routine meetings & reporting.
  • Relevant marketing work including project publishing, case study development, seminar/webinar attending, etc.
  • Contributing to the establishment of Company's PMO by bringing existing project management skills/knowledge & providing training to junior colleagues.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience delivering BESS projects in Australia required
  • Exposure to Large-Scale Solar & BESS and business related experience
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in the Renewable Energy industry
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferable
  • Experience in multi-cultural organization is highly desirable
