ROLE OVERVIEW

The main goal of this role is to assist in managing Asset Services contracts effectively, ensuring that HSE, technical, operational, and cost goals are consistently achieved. Building and nurturing influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key, as well as offering vital support and guidance to Contract Owners, Contract Administrators, and Sourcing Specialists on commercial matters within Asset Services.

ROLE DETAILS

**Contract Administration:**

  • Lead and perform compliant post-award contract administration for construction, materials, and services contracts.
  • Provide expert advice to various stakeholders on commercial matters.
  • Manage confidential information and oversee the Contractor throughout the contract duration.
  • Coordinate stakeholder input to meet contract deliverables.
  • Handle variations, changes, invoices, and claims efficiently. Analyse and resolve disputes, prepare claims documentation, and reports.
  • Offer commercial and analytical input to sourcing and procurement.
  • Maintain detailed variation registers and contribute to cost management processes.
  • Ensure timely responses to commercial correspondence and oversee contract closeout.

**Procurement:**

  • Support sourcing activities in compliance with company directives.
  • Understand the link between procurement and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities in sourcing activities to align with company's social responsibility commitments.
  • Deliver contracts and handover summaries effectively.
  • Provide progress status reporting on sourcing projects.
  • Adapt priorities to meet business needs.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in contract management on major projects.
  • Experience in Tier 1 Contractor management and negotiating contractual terms.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work accurately.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prepared to learn and adapt to new practices.
  • Work efficiently in a diverse team, self-supervised.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and respectful of confidentiality.
