Reporting directly to the director, you'll be at the forefront of it all, overseeing every operational detail of our company keeping everything running smoothly while we innovate, adapt, and thrive in the ever-changing energy landscape.

Your focus? To help Glower stand out as a leader in a dynamic energy efficiency industry helping to deliver cutting-edge solutions that not only optimise energy consumption but also shrink our environmental footprint landscape of energy efficiency.

With your knack for strategy and hands-on approach, you'll be the heartbeat of Glower, driving us forward towards success and sustainability, all while making a genuine difference in the world.

Key duties and responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Lead efforts to expand market presence and penetrate new markets.

Operational Management:

  • Provide leadership and direction to department heads, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including production, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track progress and performance.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Optimise financial performance through cost control measures, revenue enhancement strategies, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

People Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor employees, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback to staff members.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes employee engagement.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement initiatives to address concerns and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and minimise liabilities.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • 5+ Years in Management: Demonstrated experience leading teams and projects effectively for at least five years.
  • 3+ Years within the VEU, ESS, or Equivalent: Proficiency in Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU), Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), or similar programs, with a minimum of three years' experience.
  • Significant Experience as an Operations Manager (or Equivalent): Proven track record in operational leadership roles, or similar positions, showcasing your ability to drive efficiency and effectiveness within an organisation.
  • Knowledge of Solar Design, Installation, or Equivalent: Familiarity with solar energy systems, including design principles, installation processes, and relevant industry standards.
  • Well-Developed Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands efficiently.
  • Ability to Manage Relationships with Key Stakeholders: Proven capability to foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and team members, while effectively managing their expectations.
  • High Level of People Management Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, enabling you to motivate, mentor, and guide team members towards achieving common goals.
  • High Level of Analytical Reporting Skills: Proficiency in analysing data, interpreting insights, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner, supporting informed decision-making processes.

Salary & Benefits

  • A full time wage of $150,000 to 180,000 + superannuation
  • Yearly bonus
  • Annual wage increase
