Linacre Private Hospital's Theatre Department is looking for a bookings officer Join our administrative team in this permanent part-time position.

About the Role
In this position you will be responsible for the theatre bookings, theatre scheduling and managing vacant theatre lists. You will be responsible for liaising with surgeons consulting suites, pathology providers and all members of the theatre team.

What You'll Bring


You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, medical professionals, administrators and non-clinical staff.

This role will suit an individual with proven medical administration experience.

You will also bring:

  • Intermediateadvanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy
  • Previous experience in theatre or hospital bookings (highly desirable)
  • Experience using Patient Information Systems (highly desirable i.e. Meditech)
  • Certificate in Medical Terminology (Desirable)
  • Experience in hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)
  • A professional phone manner with experience managing incoming and outgoing calls
  • Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment.

Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from
$ $31.98 + **superannuation based on experience and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

Linacre Private Hospital is a 64 bed hospital, with 5 operating theatres, dayward and surgical ward, including 4 bed HDU.
