About Monash PICU
The Monash PICU is the newest of Australia's tertiary Paediatric ICUs. It is a 10-bed PICU embedded in the state-of-art Monash Children's Hospital in Melbourne.

The unit is led by a group of dedicated PICU consultants, an enthusiastic team of nurses and committed allied health professionals.

Monash Children's Hospital is one of Australia's leading providers of integrated children's health services, with more than 30 specialist services and programs.


It is Australia's third largest children's hospital with 304 beds across three campuses: 208 paediatric and 96 neonatal, including multiday, same day, oncology, mental health, sleep, PICU, NICU, special care neonatal beds and 4 operating theatres.

Last year the hospital treated 39,000 children in its paediatric and neonatal wards, and 66,000 children in its emergency departments.


About the Role


The Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal part by supporting the PICU team, the PICU Medical Director, Nurse Manager, senior medical staff and nursing staff to ensure the successful operation of the unit looking after some of the sickest children in Victoria.

Working in a friendly and supportive environment with people who strive for excellence, the PICU Administrative Assistant provides administrative and secretarial services at unit management level.

In addition, the capable Administrative Assistant supports the department in the administration of its medical recruitment and medical rostering as well as its growing educational and research activities.
