About the Organisation
The Australian Packaging Covenant of Australia (APCO) is a co-regulatory, not-for-profit organisation. They work with governments, businesses, and other organisations from across Australia's large and complex packaging value chain to develop the insights, resources, and programs that are needed to build a sustainable national packaging ecosystem


APCO aims to change the culture of business and educate consumers by promoting sustainable packaging and recycling initiatives to reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfill.

This includes facilitating the delivery of Australia's 2025 National Packaging Targets, an important step on the pathway to a circular economy.


About the Role

As the Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for checking data and following an established process to ensure the information provided by members is correct.

Through auditing and following compliance procedures, you will ensure all members are adhering to APCO's packaging standards and liaising with the member services team to follow up with any non-compliant issues.


You will love information and data, be highly organised, and have an excellent eye for detail with strong analytical skills.

You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to quickly understand and follow processes and procedures. You will be process-driven and comfortable working with a high volume of data.


A passion or understanding of sustainability and recycling will align you to the purpose of the role and APCO as an organisation.


Duties include:

  • Manage the compliance checking procedure
  • Conduct the annual verification audits an already established process
  • Be the first point of contact for all compliancerelated matters
  • Create reports on all compliance and auditing data
  • Carrying out administration duties in relation to compliance

To be successful you will have:

  • Previous experience in administration and data entry
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work comfortably with a high volume of data
  • Experience using Excel, Word, and with CRM e.g., Salesforce
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An interest in sustainability and recycling initiatives is desirable
