About the Role
Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide, this position manages the Santos Graduate Development Program.

This will involve designing and driving the graduate rotation and development framework, in partnership with Functional Leads and key stakeholders, to ensure a robust pipeline of early talent that are skilled, qualified, and meet the demands and projected resourcing needs of our business.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Improving graduate experience and retention, while delivering processes and practices which are efficient and aligned with business requirements.
  • Liaising with graduates, their supervisors and other internal stakeholders, to ensure that graduate development and career rotations are appropriate and planned to match both graduate and business needs.
  • Developing strategies and plans in relation to graduate development including:
  • Induction and development weeks.
  • Rotations.
  • Discipline specific networking and development workshops.
  • Initiatives from individual development plans including Tertiary Assistance.
  • Coordinating the provision of support to technical mentors, including mentoring skills development.
  • Establishing a Graduate Governance Committee, a Graduate Ambassador program and other initiatives, to enhance business deliverables and graduate experience.
  • Working closely with Graduate Adviser
  • Sourcing and Partnerships to oversee the Vacation program.
  • Collaborating with the Recruitment team to ensure "best in class" attraction and selection.
  • Establishing relationships and networks with external stakeholders including professional associations and industry regulators.
  • Other projects and initiatives as requested by the OD Function, such as talent management activities and technical competency development.

About You

You will be experienced in:

  • Building key relationships with various stakeholders, within a recruitment, early careers development or people and culture environment.
  • Communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences in relation to BAU and innovative deliverables.
  • Developing business professionals through effective diagnosis and coaching.
  • Using data and maintaining data systems to support decision making.
  • Working with competency frameworks, paired with the ability to execute programs


Ideally, you will be degree qualified in HR, Business or a related discipline, or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
