Head of Strategy and Innovation.


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Strategy and Innovation will be responsible for the development and implementation of TasWater's strategic planning framework, as well as leading the implementation of corporate planning and reporting processes.

You will lead the design and implementation of TasWater's Innovation Program, along with driving a continuous improvement focus and culture across the organisation.

Providing high quality strategic advice to the CFO, CEO and Executive team, you will enable strategic thinking and optimise organisational-wide strategic planning processes.

Leading the annual corporate planning and performance cycle to deliver a corporate plan, you will lead and facilitate executive and board strategy planning days and workshops, while communicating the strategy across the organisation.

You will define the innovation program, to ensure innovation becomes a core skill, capability and mindset that will help TasWater achieve their strategic aspirations.


To be successful in this role, you will be strategic leader who is able to demonstrate success in large, complex organisations.

You will have proven leadership experience in fast-paced environments, including championing culture change and strategic direction for a business.

You will have a track record in communicating strategy and innovation across a large organisation, along with developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.


You will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, being able to develop and present material on complex matters to a wide range of audiences.

Understanding of a highly regulated environment is advantageous, however not mandatory.
