About our client...
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Employment Lawyer to join the CBD office of a well-established and highly respected Victorian Law Firm.
About this role...
Joining their broader Commercial law practice, your main focus will be offering legal advice on various Employment & Workplace Relations law matters such as Contracts, Disputes, Unfair Dismissal, reviewing offers of employment, contract/award breaches, disciplinary issues, and more for employer clients spanning different industries.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:-
- Assisting clients with a broad spectrum of employment law issues like preparing contracts/employment policies, handling disciplinary & performance matters, interpreting awards, addressing bullying, dealing with complex employee management & terminations, as well as advising on topics related to OH&S, Restraint of Trade & Labour Hire Licensing, and Enterprise agreements;
- Litigation & dispute resolution (including FWC, Tribunals & Courts);
- Conducting investigations such as workplace harassment cases;
- Collaborating with clients and other professionals/stakeholders;
- Reviewing, preparing & drafting advice and correspondence, among other tasks.
About you...
Our client is in search of an experienced & passionate Employment Lawyer at Associate level or on the verge of becoming a Senior Associate with the following qualities:-
- Approximately 5-8 years post admission experience in Employment law;
- A self-motivated individual with a team-oriented and proactive mindset;
- Outstanding communication skills and a strong dedication to client service;
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and manage conflicting deadlines;
- Willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior colleagues;
- A strong sense of commercial awareness.
