About the role

Venture Smart is a 50/50 joint venture Company between
Ventia and
Johnson Controls (JCI) which is currently working on the State-Wide Electrical Contract for Main Roads WA.

Due to the continued expansion of work, we are looking for a suitably qualified
Safety Health Environment and Quality, SHEQ, Advisor with experience in roads to join our team.

You'll be working from a modern office / depot facility with onsite parking at our Jandakot facility in WA. This is a permanent full-time position.

What you'll be doing:

• Be a safety champion within your team
• Engage with frontline staff and line managers to ensure high standards of safety management
• Conduct routine safety inspections to monitor safety process effectiveness
• Review project safety documentation prior to works commencing
• Conduct investigations and document workplace related incidents
• Review, monitor and audit subcontractor and service provider processes
• Reporting on management system and quality performance

What you will need:

• Diploma in safety or higher desirable
• Qualifications as a Lead Auditor and investigator
• Experience in the roads industry
• Be available to work out on site and outside of business hours
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training and small group coaching
• Strong Organisational skills including being confident in managing stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent customer communication skills, oral and written
