**About the role**

**Venture Smart **is a 50/50 joint venture Company between **Ventia** and** Johnson Controls** (JCI) which is currently working on the State-Wide Electrical Contract for Main Roads WA.
Due to the continued expansion of work, we are looking for a suitably qualified **Safety Health Environment and Quality, SHEQ, Advisor** with experience in roads to join our team. You’ll be working from a modern office / depot facility with onsite parking at our Jandakot facility in WA. This is a permanent full-time position.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Be a safety champion within your team
- Engage with frontline staff and line managers to ensure high standards of safety management
- Conduct routine safety inspections to monitor safety process effectiveness
- Review project safety documentation prior to works commencing
- Conduct investigations and document workplace related incidents
- Review, monitor and audit subcontractor and service provider processes
- Reporting on management system and quality performance

**What you will need**:

- Diploma in safety or higher desirable
- Qualifications as a Lead Auditor and investigator
- Experience in the roads industry
- Be available to work out on site and outside of business hours
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training and small group coaching
- Strong Organisational skills including being confident in managing stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent customer communication skills, oral and written
