We are seeking an experienced, positive, and motivated Family and Community Services professional to join our team.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Client Outcomes (EMCO) this role will lead and manage Cafs suite of Out of Home Care programs.


This role will drive operational performance across all areas of out-of-home care, leading continuous improvement activities to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

The Manager Out of Home Care (OOHC) will lead, manage and support a team of experienced Team Leaders and a newly developed Therapeutic Lead position, to support practitioners within the OOHC programs.


Cafs OOHC programs offer a diverse set of services for children and young people who cannot live with their birth parents.

Our committed and diverse teamwork across programs including Foster Care, Kinship Care, Adoption and Permanent Care, Youth Residential Care and Youth Case Management, ensuring that these are responsive and best practice.


  • Are tertiary qualified (Social Work, Psychology, Community Development or similar) with a minimum of 5 + years of Management experience
  • Are an experienced people focused leader with a strong record in leading and managing a diverse multidisciplinary team and managing and reporting on a range of funding streams
  • Have highly developed interpersonal skills and easily build respectful relationships and work collaboratively within your team, across the organisation and with external service providers
  • Are experienced in leading and managing through organisational and program change
  • Have a growth mindset, value accountability of self and others and consistently model the behaviours you want to promote across your teams and across the organisation
  • Are selfdirected, well organised and will proactively explore and act upon opportunities to enhance program outcomes and drive service improvements
  • Demonstrate alignment to Cafs values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Kindness & Innovation
