Role Description:

Responsible for operational people services delivery to all Arcadians in Australia (Sydney Office), this position entails offering local expertise, advice, proactive solutions, and quality support through appropriate people frameworks, policies, and procedures, reporting to the People Services Manager.

Act as a Trusted Advisor & Member of the People Services Team

As a key member of the Local People Service team, the People Advisor fosters trusted relationships with employees and line managers. They provide frontline advisory support on people initiatives, programs, or challenges and collaborate with the business partner community and wider people services teams to enhance the total employee experience within a specific geographic area. The role also involves working closely with the People Services and Employee Relations Manager to support an inclusive, high-performing organization.

  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis Policy and relevant Employment Legislation proactively.
  • Respond to employee and line manager queries, referring/escalating as necessary.
  • Liaison with internal service providers and stakeholders for seamless operational delivery.
  • Support regionally specific initiatives.

General

  • Deliver proactive, timely, high-quality service.
  • Expected to work across different GBAs when required.
  • Collaborate within the People Operating model to support the wider business.
  • Participate in local People Services network and group-wide People projects.
  • Role model the Arcadis Way.

Key Shared Accountabilities:

  • Ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Provide advisory services for strategic People programs.
  • Establish trusted relationships with employees & line managers.
  • Offer front-line advisory on strategic people initiatives with business impact.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support people solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess an academic degree, preferably in human resources, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience. They must have extensive experience in handling leading people issues within diverse and complex matrix businesses, including familiarity with People Shared Services & Centers of Excellence model.

  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in managing/supporting HR projects.
  • Ability to understand the business impact of people issues and create value through People Services.
  • Demonstrates integrity and commitment to business interactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with persuasive influence.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Effective relationship building and consensus-reaching abilities.
