Our Client is looking for 2 x Storage and Automation Engineers for permanent roles, to provide technical design, implementation and automation skills and provide training/knowledge to the broader Client team.
Working environment will be in office, Southbank, VIC, and potentially some time working remotely from home.To be considered for this role, you MUST have:
The requisite skills and experience as described below;
Have Permanent Resident working rights for Australia; and
At least 2 year's local working experience.
Role Overview:
Work with delivery teams to troubleshoot issues as they occur during the project life cycle.
Create and maintain systems documentation.
Ensure all solutions comply to the Integration, Security & Data frameworks, with an emphasis on robustness, security and scalability.
Project deliverables are delivered on time.
Essential Competencies:
Worked in the Storage, Automation and Operational environments and knowledge of Spectrum Protect (formerly TSM) would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent knowledge of the Windows and Linux (Redhat) Operating systems.
Knowledge of other technologies, such as AWS/Azure, Gitlab, Kubernetes and Docker would be another distinct advantage for the role.
Exposure to production support and change management.
A good base knowledge of Internet technologies including Web Servers, Application Servers, Firewalls and Directory Servers.
Some understanding of Internet communication protocols such as HTTP, SSL and TCP/IP.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with other teams.
Good understanding of project management principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
