About the Position

We are excited to offer a position for a Client Investment Administrator to be part of our team. Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the primary focus of this role is to ensure the maintenance of client investments in compliance with the Legal Profession Uniform Law. Key responsibilities involve:

  • Facilitating withdrawals or closing of investment trust accounts when necessary
  • Handling deposits and withdrawals, and reconciling the controlled monies ledger with bank statements to ensure accurate recording of all transactions
  • Preparing or updating financial statements for relevant parties upon closure of accounts, end of financial year, or as needed
  • Compiling information on investment accounts for inclusion in annual trust audit reports as mandated by the Legal Profession Uniform Law
  • Supporting trust account auditors with audit inquiries, and assisting the Finance Supervisor in preparing the firm's annual audit reports

You will collaborate with the broader finance team to ensure efficient operations of the Accounts department, including providing support for general accounts inquiries.

This is a full-time role with a standard 37 1⁄2 hour workweek; however, occasional extra hours may be needed during critical periods.

About You

Preferably, you should have experience in a finance team (e.g., Accounts Payable/Receivable) and aspire to advance your career. Additionally, you should possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Experience with Trust Accounts
  • Familiarity with Trust Account Regulations
  • Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent time management skills to handle cyclical demands
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and a computerized practice management system such as Expert
