About the role


The newly created role of Protective Security Technology Manager is responsible for the creation and management of the TAFE NSW Protective Security Technology program.

The program outcomes will support the student and teams of the future, how we use smart and integrated technology to protect, manage and operate our buildings.


The role will focus on leading organisation level projects whilst supporting numerous internal stakeholders to address challenges with integrated planning and management of electronic security across the organisation.


Integral to the role is providing thought leadership and strategic security technology advice to ensure a seamless enterprise experience for both student and team members.


About You


You will have extensive hands-on experience in programming and configuring both the milestone and intrgriti systems, underpinned by your experience in designing, creating and successfully implementing integrated electronic and access management systems at an organisational level.

You will be service and customer centric with a passion to deliver best practice, whilst embracing emerging technologies.

Essential Requirements

  • Possess a current NSW Police class 2A security licence.
  • Relevant degree qualification in related field or Certificate IV Security Risk Management or Professional certification
  • CPP / PSP.
  • Extensive experience in successfully creating, implementing and managing enterprise level Protective Security Technology strategy / program within a large people service organisation, with diverse and decentralised business functions across multiple geographical dispersed sites.
  • Possess Integriti security system certification and demonstrated experience in programming, configuring and managing the Integriti electronic security systems.
  • Possess Milestone security system certification and demonstrated experience in programming, configuring and managing the milestone electronic security systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong stakeholder relationships, provide expert electronic, physical and protective security advice to a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
