About the role:


As the Manager People, Culture & Safety, you are responsible for both the planning and delivery of a range of workforce support initiatives to ensure QEC attracts and retains an engaged workforce who are passionately connected to our purpose - for all children to have the best start to life.


You will lead a team of three highly passionate and collaborative Business Partners and will oversee the day-to-day operational activities within the team while also progressing any strategic projects currently in place.

This is a 9-month fixed term parental leave cover position, that is flexible and part-time (0.8 FTE).

The role will initially be based at our Mentone site and will be moving to our newly renovated Noble Park location in late 2023.

Key accountabilities as detailed in the role's position description include (but are not limited to);

  • Providing leadership, support and guidance to the People, Culture and Safety team
  • Ensure all QEC staff and leaders are provided with timely, accurate and proactive people, culture, and safety support.
  • Partner with members of the Executive and Leadership teams to facilitate a range of workforce support activities and working groups in line with the QEC strategic plan.
  • Manage the QEC Health, Safety and Wellbeing program
  • Role model QEC's values, promoting the highest integrity and positive workplace behaviours at all times
  • Initiate and lead a variety of workforce improvement projects and education initiatives to support ongoing workforce development and future growth and expansion of QEC
