Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.

Our dedicated Physiotherapy team have opportunities available in a Temporary capacity to grow professionally within a wonderful group of Therapists.

Nepean Physiotherpy Department is recruiting Allied Health Assistants to help service the winter demands in our facility. These positions are for a 16 week period with job share on offer.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or willingness to undertake training) with relevant extensive patient care experience in a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with mínimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities as delegated.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy.
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
  • Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa._
