Be Recruitment is looking for a passionate and experienced Child Protection Caseworker in the Parramatta/Western Sydney area to join a reputable Not for Profit organisation.


About The Role


The Child Protection Caseworker will work holistically with families referred by the Department of Communities and Justice to address areas of vulnerability and reduce the likelihood of the families escalating within the child protection system.


The role will utilise a range of approaches to address areas of concern and provide families with the tools they need to achieve their goals and reduce the risk of harm.

Working collaboratively across the agency and with external colleagues to support the family is central to the role's success.

About You

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant discipline
  • 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable young people and their families
  • Ability to identify and respond to risk
  • Embedded understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Experience and knowledge of theoretical approaches when working with children and families, including strengthsbased approach and attachment theory
  • Working With Children Check
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check
  • Full Australian drivers license
  • Meet current health order requirements as it relates to COVID 19
