About the role
We have a 2-year contract opportunity for a Planner - Asset Investment. This role will develop products for the efficient and effective delivery of the asset investment planning function. Based in our Leederville office you will report to our Manager Network Optimisation.

What the role will involve

  • Assess current and future asset system performance
  • Build, validate and calibrate hydraulic water and/or wastewater models using InfoWorks and use those models to answer queries from stakeholders
  • Manage the library of hydraulic water models for the section
  • Train new starters in the use of the hydraulic modelling software
  • Contribute to an integrated planning approach across relevant sections and branches to enable optimal decisions around timing and scope of investment, management of risk and customer service levels
  • Develop and evaluate scheme asset improvement and investment options to achieve required business outcomes in accordance with strategic and life cycle planning frameworks
  • Develop capital, operating, regulatory, monitoring and maintenance plans to meet investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio
  • Develop investment programs, business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio

Key skills and experience


You will be degree qualified in an Engineering, or a similar discipline, with experience in hydraulic modelling and calibration of water and/or wastewater networks.

Strong analytic skills, and knowledge of planning, design, acquisition or operational delivery of asset investment programs will ensure success in this role.
