About the role:

The Commercial Portfolio Manager is a crucial role in Aurizon's Bulk Operations. Reporting to the Bulk Commercial Manager, this position involves supporting a network of operations including rail, road, and port logistics. You will work closely with customers and operational teams to achieve positive commercial outcomes and drive business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain key account management plans for each customer in the portfolio.
  • Ensure contract performance requirements are met through effective management processes.
  • Optimize customer value and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business prospects.
  • Act as the primary customer intelligence expert within the portfolio.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecast data for each customer.
  • Lead contract negotiations and delivery.
  • Generate reports and specific data as needed.
  • Communicate customer needs and opportunities to relevant teams.
  • Build strong relationships across all enterprise functions to enhance customer information flow.

About you:

As a dynamic and passionate commercial leader, you should be committed to delivering value across a diverse customer portfolio. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years' sales and commercial experience.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in providing customer service in a commercial setting.
  • Deep knowledge of transport and logistic operations.
  • Understanding of financial analysis in haulage contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
