About the Role

The Projects and Assurance team safeguards CFA's Project Management Framework and collaborates with project managers on business, technology, and capital/fleet projects. They actively manage specific programs and projects.

We are looking for a Business Project Manager reporting to Manager, Projects & Assurance. In this role, you will enhance CFA's project management capabilities by overseeing various projects, advancing the CFA Project Management Framework, and ensuring successful project execution. Building strong relationships with Senior Responsible Officers and key stakeholders is crucial for effective Framework application.

We seek candidates with experience and certification in Lean methodologies, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP and change management methodologies, along with proficiency in contemporary project management tools for planning and reporting.

As the Business Project Manager, you will ensure quality management by adhering to CFA's Project Management Framework, conduct monitoring and reporting, review progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with objectives and budget compliance. You will maintain project documentation, lead teams, and collaborate with the Projects and Assurance Team to support Framework implementation and offer coaching. Additionally, you will provide advice on Framework improvements, prepare reports, create training materials, and ensure consistency by liaising with other Project Managers.

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior Communication Skills: Capable of preparing and delivering professional project management reports and briefings.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage project risks effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data effectively and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining focus.
  • Highly Regarded: Experience or accreditation in lean methodologies, prince2 practitioner, PMP, change management methodologies, and modern project management tools.
