Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic Procurement Officer to join their team. In this role, you will provide invaluable advice and support to the Council's staff, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and laws while maximizing value for money. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing strategic procurement activities, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to staff on procurement and contract management activities.
  • Co-ordinate and manage strategic procurement activities, driving effective procurement management.
  • Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation in compliance with relevant laws and best practices.
  • Lead the end-to-end tendering function, from document review to contract execution.

Job Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in procurement, business, commerce, law, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar procurement role within Government, Healthcare, Education, NFP, or Public Sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in coordinating and evaluating complex tenders, and developing/editing tender and contract documents.
