Medium Rail Plant Operator – Night Shift - Geelong

  • Permanent Night Shift opportunity on a 5days on 2 days off roster. Working hours: 9pm – 5am.

About the role

As the Medium Rail Plant Operator, you play a crucial role in V/Line's Network Development, Assets, and Maintenance Group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling equipment transport tasks efficiently.
  • Maintaining and servicing the truck and plant.
  • Assisting in rail component replacement and general maintenance.
  • Ensuring all operations meet safety standards.
  • Supporting the team with manual tasks when needed.
  • Flexibility in working overtime, traveling, and different shifts.

About you

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • Alignment with V/Line's core values.
  • Hold or willing to obtain a certificate II in Rail Infrastructure within 6 months.
  • Essential medium rigid (MR) Truck License.
  • Experience as a backhoe operator.
  • Ability to work night shifts, travel, and work additional hours.
