We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead our client's engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving engineering strategies and ensuring high quality, safety, and efficiency standards in all engineering activities. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational goals. This role is part of the senior leadership team and reports to the CEO.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all engineering activities across the business.
  • Develop engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure strategies meet business objectives and operational needs.
  • Manage engineering staffing levels, staff allocation to projects and resource conflicts.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Prepare and manage the engineering budget and forecast capital expenditure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritise projects in line with business targets and available resources.
  • Reporting on project progress against schedule and cost targets
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in engineering or associated field.
  • 10+ years of experience advanced manufacturing R&D or RF engineering.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong project management and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to deliver against project deadlines.
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience in managing budgets.
  • Passion for embedded software development and associated technologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Oracle/NetSuite).
