About the role:


This role is integral in supporting the management and oversight of NAB's correspondent banks covering the groups nostro and RMA relationships.

Actively managing correspondent bank relationships to ensure compliance with NAB standards with regards to risk profile, product, service, execution and price are critical.


As the SME, you'll develop in-depth market knowledge regarding payments, regulations and product innovation and work with key NAB stakeholders to assess and where appropriate, assist to implement new international clearing products for NAB customers.


In this role, you will be common point of expertise between international payment innovations occurring globally and the NAB product teams to ensure market knowledge is shared with key stakeholders.


In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Manage NAB's nostro account relationships ensuring adherence to pricing schedules and agreed SLA's
  • Maintain key documentation including terms and conditions, pricing and SLA's
  • Oversee custodian of the Know Your Customer (KYC) processes including reviewing KYC files and ensuring approvals in line with agreed review cycles
  • Manage NAB's RMA population including reviews of existing RMA's, assessment of new RMA's and offboarding of dormant or redundant RMA's
  • Review payment volume data to identify corridors of growth and opportunities for fee negotiations
  • Run monthly forums with Executive stakeholders providing governance oversight for NAB's Nostro and RMA relationships
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Financial Crime, Fraud and Operations for escalations with correspondent banks
  • Work in a fast paced business where change is accelerating and assess opportunities to ensure best in class cross border services are provided to our customers.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven understanding of correspondent banking including key infrastructures i.e. Swift
  • Highly developed excel skills to synthesise and present data and assess payment flows, pricing and identify opportunities for negotiations
  • Demonstrated delivery and execution ability most likely gained from your time in an account management or account servicing function
  • Strong communication skills in order to influence key stakeholders
Ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities
