Overview


As a result of substantial growth, our Client is looking to develop their contemporary human resources practices by seeking a HR Business Partner.

You will be expected to demonstrate your strong communication skills and previous experiences in a business partnering position, consulting and providing advice to a range of business units across the Local Council.


Key Responsibilities

  • Foster working relationships with business unit managers;
  • Employee relations, remuneration and benefits, WH&S, change management and learning & development;
  • Interpret employment legislation and industrial awards.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience;
  • Demonstrated understanding of industrial awards, employment legislation, policies and procedure to delivery of Human Resources services;
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of recruitment and selection services including the ability to consult and develop recruitment strategies;
  • Proven ability to contribute towards the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organisation;
  • Strong written and oral skills;
  • Dispute resolution skills;

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in providing generalist support in industrial relations and learning and development;
  • Prior experience working in Local Government.
