  • Overview of Position's ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the property executive staff, the Associate has responsibility for IT related activities.

  • Contributes advanced hospitality technology knowledge and skill to manage and support property IT operations in accordance with Roles/Responsibility matrix.
  • Implements and monitors systems and manages compliance to IT requirements.
  • Accountable for all property technology planning, decisionmaking, implementation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Engages with technology partners, owners, Executive Committee and property staff to understand business needs/issues and formulate IT related solutions.
  • Management Property Internet Support (see Appendix for details)
  • May manage property iT Specialist(s).
General

Achieves balanced scorecard and annual goals as set.

Manages IT costs and reduce where feasible.

People

Accountable for assigned properties technology partner relationships/contracting /service levels.

Product

Responsible for the research of technology products in the assigned property.

Accountable for technology pilots that occur in assigned property.

Process

Engages with, and primary escalation point for Property GM, DOF and other Executive level Department Heads.

Maintains computer/PABX etc. facilities and offices in a clean and orderly manner.

Passes technology related Internal and PCI audits.

Meets IT PCI related audit compliance.

Meets IT Technology Internal Audit compliance.

Leads the remediation of appropriate findings from owner audits.

Accountable for property asset, backups and disaster recovery.

Attends the important IT related conference calls and property leadership meetings as required.

Pre-opening/Project Management

Accountable for successful opening phase of new/conversion hotels if assigned or part of new Opening Hotel team.

Produces Defect and IT Countdown Reports and follow ups according to schedule.

Manages the timely completion of the IT preopening countdown report activities including mid and wrap-up calls.

People

Provides educational updates to Property Management about new technology and changes to existing technology.

Seeks to build and maintain positive and effective relations with Property Associates, Regional IT and technology partners.

Conducts performance reviews of assigned Associates twice a year during which time assesses operating performance, skills/training needs and development.


Identify and provide cross training to potential Associates in order to assist with coverage of leave periods and busy projects.

Actively manages the relationships and performance of all IT technology partners servicing the property.

Effective individual contributor and team player.

Provides information/education/presentations to Management/Owners when requested.

Oversees the level of computer skills of Associates at property and develops plans to improve where needed.

Maintain relations with other sister properties in the city or country.

Maintains awareness of locally available technology and seek to deploy in property if there is a viable business case and appropriate IT approvals.


Understands IT and Company IT related policy and procedure; seeks to maintain standards to this level by actively directing all levels of the operation.

Demonstrates actions that seek to be able to pass an IT related audits at any given time.

Makes timely decisions in relation to technology matters.

Seeks to maintain existing systems to current software version/standard.

Ensures the timely availability and maintenance of hardware at the property.

Reviews IT maintenance plans to ensure they are in line with IT guidelines.

Maintains up to date knowledge on industry and local IT related matters or developments.

Process

Maintains a skill level able to effectively support and risk mitigate all property systems.

Be seen by others to maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Activates IT escalation on a timely and effective basis, follow up and close out.
