You will be accountable for the provision of quality, operational support and leadership through the focus and development of strategies and programs that promote the Institute's Educational Excellence Framework.


This position directly supports the Manager - Nursing & Allied Health and peers in managing and leading the implementation of educational excellence, business growth and opportunities that enhance the Institute's reputation.


Your key accountabilities will be to:

  • Lead and manage teachers, including supervision, performance, professional and vocational currency and development requirements
  • Participate in the development and implementation of student retention strategies that will improve learning outcomes across the school
  • Manage and support the validation of assessment strategies across all operational areas and maintain a continuous improvement register in accordance with registration standards
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, regulatory standards, government and governance requirements, quality processes, financial delegations and Institute policies, including Child Safe Standards and support a Child Safe environment
  • Deliver courses/programs in defined areas of expertise as required, modelling teaching delivery methods meeting changing needs and commercial requirements
  • Liaise with other Senior Educators and Education Managers in ensuring consistency of educational practices to engage learners, and meet accreditation and compliance requirements

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • Vocational qualifications relevant to Nursing sector and demonstrated industry currency
  • Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
  • Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher


Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in the delivery and development of contemporary educational programs, approaches and developments that meet learner, industry and community needs.

You will also have a proven ability to design and deliver succinct, up to date and engaging program materials and training sessions as well as the ability to identify potential and existing setbacks and challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these.


You are a highly motivated educator with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills presentation skills, a range of literacy, written and communication skills.

Your organisational skills and the ability to coordinate resources in significant program areas, captured through Institute policies and processes.
