Your new role:


The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Engineering Team to ensure that Engineering reporting requirements, associated with Destroyer, Guided Missile (DDG) Enterprise, are achieved in accordance with contractual and company requirements in order to deliver required business goals.

This team is responsible for providing engineering solutions to the DDG Class of ship. If you have ever considered a career in Engineering, this role is perfect for you.

Whilst utilising your strong admin skills supporting the team, you will work across all disciplines of engineering to see what area suits you.


In more specific terms you will:

  • Support the coordination of activities assigned by the Engineering Assurance Manager for the Engineering team
  • Coordinate activities using highly developed communication and liaison skills to achieve satisfactory outcomes
  • Prepare and coordinate reports, presentations and KPIs as required, including active management of action register and provide support to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles
  • Assist in the development, tracking and delivery of Data Item Details (DIDs) & Program Plans
  • Team and stakeholder orientation with a high level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate with the Customer and staff at all levels and from a range of disciplines
  • Support in arranging and conducting site visits
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Engineering data
  • Regular liaison with CoA operations team to ensure requirements are being met, and managed
  • Assist in the management of facilities
  • Coordinate and support in the on boarding for new team members
About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Current Baseline Security Clearance (or higher)
  • Strong understanding of the Engineering Function
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining delivery to a high standard including strong attention to detail
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously to achieve desired results
  • Be a motivated selfstarter with excellent time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Organisational and problemsolving skills
  • An ability to work and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Suite along with SharePoint & Oracle (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar role


As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
