Product Advisor - Cards & Payments

Brisbane based role

The role


Support the Product accountability of ensuring that new and existing Everyday Banking customers have access to Cards & Payments solutions that meet their needs and ensures market parity.


What you'll do
Product management and insight

  • Align the product delivery and processes to meet customer need, market expectations, buying process and cycle, and service expectations
  • Conduct portfolio and market analysis to develop a consistent multichannel product offering to leverage efficiencies in process to increase volume of product holdings and maximise level of connected customers within the Bank
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver market parity customer access to payment channels
  • Provide expertise in the identification and design of strategies, promotion, product proposition, access to cards payments methods of both physical and digital, and initiatives that meet the evolving customer needs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners
  • Contribute to the Bank's distribution / platform strategy for Card and Payment products and support the ongoing execution of that strategy
  • Ensure marketing program execution
Initiative delivery

  • Manage and deliver initiatives and projects in accordance with our agreed governance framework
  • Support the design of new and amended processes required to achieve the objectives and benefits of the endorsed initiative
  • Support the portfolio's compliance with mandates, standards and procedures, as well as complying with industry code of practice and legislative requirements across the end to end service delivery
  • Proactively identify operational risk challenges, including regulatory, legislative and code of banking practice requirements
Process management and insight

  • Ensure alignment with the payments process management framework
  • Conducting root cause analysis on process & procedure anomalies to determine underlying causes for these problems, in alignment with Suncorp's Agile and Lean frameworks
  • Developing factbased and datadriven options analyses (and recommendations) to determine solutions and countermeasures for identified problems
  • Document and maintain inherent risks in the process design and work with business stakeholders to ensure that robust first line of defence controls are in place
People

  • Contribute to an energetic, innovative and customerfocused team culture across the department
  • Take ownership for personal development and performance management day to day
  • Work in partnership with an extensive stakeholder group to provide a seamless and united experience for our internal and external customers
  • Drive knowledge of industry practises relevant to business architecture and process management across the department

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a businessrelated discipline is highly desirable
  • Strong preference for 5 years' experience in a product or financial management environment
  • Demonstrated experience in roles requiring high levels of strategic thinking/planning, analytical skills stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
  • Experience in delivery of projects
  • Able to work with new concepts that when implemented extend competitive advantage
