The Role:
Exciting opportunity to be part of the Clinical Forensic Medicine team at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM).
Work in a stimulating environment with access to academic activities through Monash University Department of Forensic Medicine.
Collaborate with various forensic practitioners including anthropologists, toxicologists, biologists, and dentists.
Responsibilities include delivering forensic services to victims and perpetrators, supporting justice services in Victoria.
Collaborate with health and welfare providers to ensure service delivery.
Potential to supervise junior staff and provide training.
Position primarily in metropolitan Melbourne.

VIFM is committed to providing independent forensic expertise to the justice system, tissue transplantation, research, and community education.
We play a crucial role in providing evidence for convictions and acquittals, investigating deaths, examining offenders, and supporting crime victims.
DTBV supports patients and hospitals with safe tissues for transplantation.
Contribute to research that enhances public health and safety and supports the legal system.
Work closely with Victoria Police, the courts, and the Coroners Court.
Collaborate with various partners to deliver forensic services and toxicology testing.

Requirements:
MBBS
Registration as a medical practitioner by AHPRA.
Minimum 2 years post graduate medical experience.
Experience in emergency medicine, primary care, paediatrics, gynaecology, psychiatry, addiction medicine, and sexual health care.
Previous work in clinical forensic medicine is a plus.
