Purpose of the role

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Business Controller, Oceania, your role is to support the business and market area with relevant financial and other information for decision making, spanning historical, current, and future performance. You will also be required to support Kalmar Finance organization in implementing and developing activities relevant to this area and to ensure harmonized, efficient and high-quality support for sales and service operations within Market Area.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Act as a business partner to management with financial information, business review, and analysis, leading the planning, performance management, decision making, and controlling processes. Challenge the business and financial performance.
  • Oversee the planning, forecasting, and actual reporting process in close cooperation with Market Area Finance Head. Analyze actual, forecast, and budget of the Service business line.
  • Report and communicate financial performance to relevant parties.
  • Participate and contribute to common business control objectives of Cargotec and Kalmar, as well as the Kalmar Services and Mobile Equipment divisions
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Inform, initiate, and implement corrective actions along with the relevant organization to ensure continued effectiveness and efficiency of controls
    • Take actions with the Services organization to correct financial performance

Qualifications for success

Education

  • B.Sc / M.Sc in finance/accounting/etc

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

Competencies

  • Strong collaboration skills and effective networking capabilities
  • Proficiency in English communication
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Excel, Hyperion, SAP, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
