Orange, Australia Lives Lived Well Full time

**Wyla Residential Services** provides a safe environment for individuals to recover from alcohol and/or drug use. Offering a live-in rehabilitation service post detox program completion.

We are seeking casual **AOD Support Workers** to join our team at the Bloomfield Hospital Campus near Orange.

The role involves assisting in group sessions, accompanying clients to appointments, overseeing medication self-administration, and maintaining client records. **Lives Lived Well** stands out as one of the few AOD support services in regional NSW, allowing you to gain extensive sector knowledge, ideal for those transitioning from other community service fields.

These part-time positions will cover morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts. Overnight shifts can either be awake or sleepover, with on-site support from a Registered Nurse. The position offers a pay range of $36.00 to $38.60 per hour, in addition to casual loading and super contributions.

While not a specified requirement, individuals with a **Lived Experience** of Drug and Alcohol recovery are encouraged to apply.

Your Opportunity

No formal qualifications are necessary, but you must be driven, dedicated, and genuinely interested in the Alcohol and Other Drugs sector.

Your skills and attributes should include:

  • Effective communication skills – comfortable interacting with diverse individuals in a non-judgemental and supportive manner
  • Positive and approachable demeanor – fostering relationships, offering positive role-modeling, a significant aspect of the role
  • Emotional intelligence and composure, especially in challenging situations
  • Adherence to professional boundaries and understanding of their implementation with clients and peers
  • Self-care practices – crucial for managing the demands of the role effectively
  • Readiness for change and contribution of innovative ideas for enhancement
  • Proficiency in computer operations, client documentation, and handover processes

Requirements include possession of a current Working with Children Check and Australian Drivers Licence. **AOD First Aid** or similar qualifications would be advantageous.
