The Opportunity


We are seeking experienced Mining Coordinators to assist with the delivery of production results at Pembroke Resource's new project in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.


Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-east of Moranbah and is due to commence mining operations in early 2023.

Thiess has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul, water management, and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

Working a 7/7 Day/Night shift roster and reporting to the Mining Supervisor, your duties will include:
Working collaboratively toward delivering high-quality production solutions and results

Effectively manage the mining operational personnel to ensure the timely execution of the mine plan in a safe & efficient manner

Actively seek continuous improvement of mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Coordinate personnel and crew allocations and provide appropriate training practices

Carry out effective inspections and reporting processes

About you

You are a high-achieving Mining Coordinator with previous experience in a similar role. You are committed to driving a high-performing and inclusive team.

Proven leadership and people management skills within an adaptive team

Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills coupled with approachable and motivational qualities

Prioritising and problem-solving are second nature

A solid understanding of the processes involved with open-cut coal mining

Autonomous haulage and Minestar experience highly regarded
