About Your RoleUGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance division is seeking an experienced Quality Officer to join our supportive team located at our facility in Broadmeadow.

The Quality team offers support on a variety of rolling stock projects, including new builds, maintenance, and component overhauls for diverse customers.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, in this role, you will ensure that products and services meet customer expectations by effectively implementing established quality practices and taking ownership of process requirements.

  • Develop relevant functional procedures, work instructions, forms, and templates
  • Collaborate with Production Teams, Engineering Team, and Production Support Team to enhance quality efficiency and product output
  • Conduct process and product inspections according to scheduled reviews, prepare detailed Inspection Reports highlighting findings
  • Assist in investigating non-conformances, contribute to resolving customer complaints and issues positively
  • Identify crucial quality characteristics of products and services and support in devising quality plans
  • Deliver reports to Production Delivery Managers and Service Delivery Managers outlining findings clearly

About YouAs the Quality Officer, you should have extensive experience in quality management within manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering settings.

Preferably, you possess an engineering or trade background in Fabrication or Mechanical fields.

You should have a solid background in quality management within manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering sectors.

Experience in industries such as rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics, or safety-critical environments is beneficial.

Proficiency in developing functional procedures, work instructions, and check sheets

Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and Technical Specifications

Familiarity with ISO9001 Quality Management System standards

Understanding of Non-conformance Management
