We are currently seeking a Channel and Category Development Manager for our Grocery sector on an 8-month Fixed Term contract. Reporting to the Head of Category & RGM ANZ, this role offers you the opportunity to steer the commercial strategy for our grocery sector by collaborating with internal and external partners. Your tasks will include:

  • Category Strategy – driving the vision and strategy for the grocery category, from innovation to range optimization through comprehensive insights.
  • Channel Development – establishing strong partnerships with key retailers in Australia through effective communication, data-driven recommendations, and joint initiatives.
  • Revenue Management – Leading promotional strategies and monitoring market trends closely for our product portfolio.
  • 4P plan – Executing the 4P Strategy focusing on priority, placement, price, and promotional activities.
  • Business Planning & Monitoring – Collaborating across departments to assess the performance of our plans in the grocery category and creating business cases with insights from channel and customer perspectives.

About You

You have a talent for building relationships at all levels and excel in team leadership. Your strategic thinking and analytical skills help you navigate challenges and solve complex problems using data. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous Experience in Category or commercial customer facing role
  • Experience with corporate grocery customers preferred.
  • Experience in space management desirable not essential
  • Strong understanding of Scan and Shopper Data (IRI/Circana, Nielsen, Quantium)
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Commercial acumen, ability to understand internal & customer P&L
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
