YOUR ROLE


As part of a fast-paced high performing team you will manage proactive communications initiatives that generate awareness and advocacy for IAG and its brands via the media and social channels.

Working across numerous IAG brands you will gain the confidence and support of executive, senior management, and key stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for emphasising the important role IAG plays in the community and what this means for our stakeholders.

You will collaborate, confidently negotiate, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Manage highly effective proactive communications strategy and campaigns for IAG and its brands with the purpose of generating positive media exposure and reputational value. For this role there is a particular focus on our intermediated brands
  • CGU and WFI which focus on small to large businesses and their insurance needs.
  • Take responsibility for promoting IAG's role in the community our Reconciliation Action Plan, Climate Action, and Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategies and other initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with media and external influencers to increase transparency and trust between IAG and the public.
This is a permanent opportunity located in Sydney.

ABOUT YOU

  • Seven year's minimum experience inhouse or in an agency in a corporate communications role
  • Independent thinker with a strategic mindset who can execute projects to the highest standard
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach
  • Courage and ability to challenge and influence executives
  • Experience in large, complex, customerfacing, highly regulated company
  • You have an interest in current affairs
