About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing, Commissioning Minor Injury and Illness Centre provides applied expert knowledge, leadership and strategic accountability for the implementation of the commissioning Minor Injury and Illness Centre in the West Moreton Health Service.

This role will work closely with colleagues across the divisions West Moreton Health, operational commissioning and community partners to optimise resources, reduce duplication, share innovations and to ensure consistent clinical practices of the Minor Injury and Illness Centre.

This role is being advertised as multistream and can be filled by either a Nurse or Administration Officer.
About you

  • Experience and advanced capability in providing professional and clinical leadership across the multidisciplinary team to achieve high performance within contemporary service delivery models.
  • Advanced capability in stakeholder consultation and engagement, employing highly developed written and oral communications and highly effective interpersonal skills of consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution and relationship management that influence effectively and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to establish and manage priorities, coordinate team activities in alignment within specific timeframes and respond effectively to emergent issues to assure the timely delivery of services.
  • Ability to use clinical information and other relevant information technology systems to support decision making, achieve effective business processes and facilitate quality improvement strategies
  • Operative knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, risk management and quality improvement frameworks.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Vaccinated against COVID19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/1
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with AHPRA. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
