About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Safety Health Environment Quality (SHEQ) Officer to join our team based in Oakleigh. Reporting to the Safety Health Environment Quality Manager, this role will focus on enhancing safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety, health, environment, and quality systems and processes.

You will be:

  • Supporting managers, supervisors, and employees in enhancing safety, health, environment, and quality culture
  • Proactively addressing non-conformities, risks, and opportunities within the organization
  • Contributing to the development, application, monitoring, and reporting of SHEQ, risk management, and quality programs
  • Offering technical expertise and SHEQ guidance
  • Engaging in internal and external auditing against standards and obligations
  • Identifying needs and implementing tools and programs to improve SHEQ capabilities
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to address corrective and preventive actions for closing non-conformities
  • Ensuring maintenance of required quality standards for existing and upcoming products

What We're Seeking
We are looking for individuals who are effective communicators, skilled team players capable of managing multiple projects efficiently. Desired candidates should have a keen willingness to learn and a proactive mindset.

We seek candidates with:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Essential experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with ISO9001, ISO14001, or equivalent standards
  • Understanding of hazard/risk management principles and relevant legislation
  • Qualifications in WHS/OHS (Cert III or higher)
