As the Trade State Business Manager for New South Wales you are accountable for driving strategy, customer relationships and enhancing the customer experience for all key partners including Builders, Architects, Designers, Painters, Independent Paint Specialists and Independent Hardware groups.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership, motivating, mentoring and developing the state sales team to achieve their outputs
  • Achieve the sales, profit and growth targets for the state / region (Independent Hardware, Commercial and Residential)
  • Lead the states sales planning, analysis, and forecasting of revenue projections
  • Creating and implementing sales strategies to achieve both long and short term goals
  • Develop and foster working relationships with various external bodies including Builders, Architects, Designers, Painters, Independent Paint Specialists and Independent Hardware groups
  • Develop and improve the customer service proposition to support the brand strategy

Qualifications:

  • You will lead from the front to drive operational efficiencies and excellence. As well as your proven sales leadership you will have a strong people focus to mentor and develop your team to achieve targets.
  • Strong ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Management (ideal)
  • Good business and commercial acumen. You have experience working in a challenging and commercial environment.
  • Excellent customer relations skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiating and presentation skills

About us:

This position is an important part of PPG's Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Architectural Team. The ANZ Architectural team is responsible for iconic products and brands like Taubmans, White Knight, Johnstone's and Bristol.

We manufacture and supply high quality paint products locally to DIY and professional painters, whilst being backed and supported by the global expertise within PPG.
