About the Position:

Monash City Council has an exciting early years infrastructure program in partnership with the Victorian Government.

Over the last few years we have constructed two Child and Family Hubs (in Mulgrave and Mt Waverley) and are currently constructing the Oakleigh South Child and Family Hub.

Monash is planning additional builds over the coming years and have commenced our strategic planning in response to the Victorian Government Best Start Best Life - four-year-old reforms.

About the Position

The position is responsible for:

Leading and partnering across the department, the organisation and the community to deliver high quality strategic planning activities and outcomes


Planning and delivery of early years building projects, including high quality communication and engagement within the organisation, the community, the sector and with current and potential user groups.

About you

Tertiary qualification in early childhood, children's services, youth services, social work or related health field.

A post graduate qualification in Project Management along with demonstrated success in project work within a local government or similar environment will be highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience in supporting strategic service planning and the delivery of infrastructure projects, within a collaborative environment.

Demonstrated experience in developing strategic plans that support and guide future service delivery.

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of staff.

Demonstrated ability to engage, liaise and negotiate at all levels and with a wide range of stakeholders.

Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills.

Requirements of the position

Satisfactory National Police Check

Current Victorian driver's licence and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
