As our Senior Manager Safer Gaming Assurance reporting to the General Manager Safer Gaming Compliance you will lead the Line 2 Safer Gaming Assurance function, developing and maintaining a comprehensive Safer Gambling assurance methodology and program.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will take a risk-based approach and prioritising the highest risk controls and processes with reporting and escalation of key areas of risk to TSEG Executive and Board.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Lead the Safer Gambling Line 2 Assurance function, with responsibility for performance management and development, capacity planning and strategic work plans.
  • Define, document, implement, manage, and maintain TSEG's Safer Gambling Assurance methodology, setting out the approach to conducting Safer Gambling assurance testing and reporting.
  • Establish an annual test plan, taking a risk-based approach and prioritising the highest risk controls and processes.
  • Oversee the preparation of high quality assurance reports identifying issues, areas for improvement and recommending control and process improvements.
  • Partner with The Star's Executive Leadership, Group Management, and internal stakeholders to ensure commitment to compliance with The Star's Safer Gambling program through continual periodic testing of key Safer Gambling controls and processes and communicating testing results and recommendations.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in overseeing an assurance program – financial crime, Safer Gambling or similar
  • At least 7 years' experience in Safer Gambling strategy and operations with ideally experience in assurance, compliance, or risk management in a casino / club / gaming or wagering environment, bank, corporation, or government agency.
  • Tertiary studies in a subject which requires a high level of critical analysis and independent research is desirable, e.g., Auditing, Business, Law, Economics.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including detailed reports and presentations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficient in using analytical software and database record management systems.

You are a seasoned professional in compliance and assurance, accustomed to leveraging your experience in project and change management to influence and support leaders and stakeholders. With a track record in delivering projects that are timely and effective, you have honed the skills required to overcome hurdles and address complex issues.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our safer gaming programs for our teams and guests.
