The Asset Management team has a new opportunity for an Architectural Design Officer to be part of some exciting design projects for the City.

Reporting to the Coordinator Building Design and Construction, you will work closely with our Building Capital Works team to assist in bringing our design projects from concept to completion.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • All stages of drafting work from concept plans through to construction drawings.
  • Liaising with other consultants during the preparation of detailed documentation.
  • Coordinating with the design, construction and estimating teams to ensure the design intent and concepts are applied and maintained at all stages.
  • Undertaking site inspections and measures.
  • Working closely with the project design leads to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
To be considered for this role, we are seeking applicants who hold the following:

  • Degree in Architecture or Advanced Diploma in Architecture (Building Design) or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in a design/drafting environment.
  • Substantial experience in the design, documentation and project and contract management of new and refurbishment projects.
  • Substantial experience in AutoCAD.
