About your new role:


Working as an integral member of the Information Technology team this position manages the first level of support resources for Baptistcare users regarding technology and communication.


Reporting to the Technology Services Manager, the Help Desk Officer ensures a high level of customer services is provided to Baptistcare users by the prioritising of all incoming enquiries and ensuring prompt, reliable service to users.


Duties including but not limited to:

  • Is the first point of contact for user support requests and aims to provide "instant" help to users to provide a high level of quality support.
  • Manages all incoming support requests.
  • Plans and prioritises work by responding, creating, and assigning tickets to incoming requests.
  • Delegates technical issues to the appropriate resource.
  • Coordinates the procurement of technology assets and prepares and deploys to end users.
  • Manages and monitors the help desk KPI's, escalating concerns as required.
  • Arranges and provides training to staff when the help desk function allows.
  • Creates and updates manuals and other documentation for IT team members and end users.
  • Researches, develops, and streamlines support provided to users.
  • Writes or amends relevant information technology policies and procedures as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight/competing timeframes.
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and provide excellent service.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check
  • Willingness to obtain or provide proof of 2023 Influenza & three (3) COVID19 Vaccination
  • Willingness to undergo a preemployment medical.
