The Admissions and Enrolments Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to


The Admissions and Enrolments Manager will be instrumental in ensuring clear direction and leadership in pursuit of key institute performance measures as set out in the Strategic Plan.


Reporting relationships and Key Stakeholders

  • This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
  • This position holds a position on the Executive Management Committee (EMC) and works closely with other members of the EMC.
  • Reporting into this position are members of the Admissions and Enrolments teams as outlined in the Organisational Chart.
  • Key stakeholders that this position must liaise with includes:

Internal

  • Academic staff
  • Professional staff
  • Interns and volunteers

External

  • Students and their families
  • Education Agents
  • Schools, VET and higher education providers
  • Peak bodies (IHEA, Study Adelaide) and Networking associations
  • Employers and Professional organisations

Core Responsibilities
The Admissions and Enrolments Manager is responsible for oversight of campus operations and service delivery.

In summary, the Admissions and Enrolments Manager 's core responsibility areas are:

Admissions

  • Ensure admissions and student onboarding policies, procedures and practices are upheld
  • Making considered judgements relating to student matters including special needs, intervention and access plans, academic support and pastoral care needs during admissions
  • Support the Marketing Plan in consultation with the CEO and team members, including strategic goals and targets.
  • Oversight of improvements and initiatives that build goodwill, process and policy improvements and efficiencies.
  • Oversight of admissions and enrolment unit teams and of delivery enrolment/course enrolment targets and revenue.
  • Monitor prospective and new student enrolments and enrolment variations.

Staff

  • Oversight of Admissions, Reception and Enrolment staff task allocation and performance
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and directing the implementation of new processes and systems to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop staff capacity, oversee and participate in professional staff performance management processes.
  • Be a positive advocate and support the college strategic interests.
  • Liaises with industry, business and professional groups and identifies opportunities for collaboration.
  • Contributes to our strategic direction and priorities through the operational action plan.
  • Provide support and guidance to other internal customers.
  • Support recruitment and oversight of onboarding of new staff and interns in the team
  • New staff and intern mentoring and coaching

Students

  • Provide guidance on academic and career options for students.
  • International student support. Maintaining awareness of and obligations under, the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) framework
  • Helping students to resolve problems including frontline complaint handling.
  • Representing the college at external events, including open day and networking event
  • Work with the EMC to coordinate and manage the following internal student events:
  • Open Days and campus tours to prospective students, their families and other guests
  • Contribute to Industry Day and other stakeholder events.

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Oversee accurate and timely reporting of AVETMISS, PIR and TCSI data
  • Responsible for oversight of CRM
  • Monitoring and reporting of risk assessment and initiatives to manage student recruitment risks.
  • Complete regular reports against strategic priorities, including reports on student admissions and demographic data, marketing strategies, facilities and equipment, grievances and appeals, continuous improvement, regulatory reporting and business opportunities.
  • Preparing quarterly or as required reports for the EMC and governance boards (Admissions Reporting quarterly to governance boards)
  • Manage Annual Quality Indicator Data Surveying and Reporting (VET)
  • Ensure admissions transparency information is annually (or more frequently as required) updated and available on the website.
  • Oversee approval of noncommencing student withdrawals reporting
  • Approve quarterly or as required FEE-HELP and VET Student Loans Schedules

Client Relationship Management

  • Strong client relationship and people management skills, with the proven ability to develop trust and credibility.
  • Presenting company products and services to clients at all levels
  • Preparing client proposals
  • Follow up with client issues as they arise.

General

  • Undertake an annual review of the student letter of offer and contract documentation.
  • Assist the EMC with the annual review and update of the Student Handbooks including liaising with other staff for requisite ch
