Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a

HR/Wellbeing Officer to work with a unique Federal agency.

The Role


Working within a niche part of Federal Government, this role offers a true opportunity to improve the lives of others in a busy and diverse role.


Reporting to the Assistant Director of HR and Info Management this role will support the Operations team by enabling and supporting a variety of services within the Human Resources function.

Typical duties of the

HR/Wellbeing Officer will include but not limited to:

  • Manage and Deliver the department's Wellbeing Program including;
  • Schedule and coordinate wellbeing psychological assessments through Lifeworks for staff.
  • Liaise with internal and external professionals to resolve assessments, complete assessments or make referrals and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Manage the Wellbeing Inbox and Coordinate wellbeing activities
  • Coordinate risk assessment and risk management activities
  • Prepare and conduct annual wellbeing surveys.
  • Provide analysis on data to inform the review of the Wellbeing Program.
  • Coordinate learning and development training and activities
  • Coordinate onboarding and separation processes for department staff
  • Assist with recruitment related activities/ coordination of site visits by recruitment agencies as required
  • Monitoring of the HR mailbox as required
  • Support with Work Health and Safety initiatives and events
  • Possess or obtain a firm understanding of the WHS Act, Public Service Act and SRC Act.
  • Support other HR activities as requested and general staff support.

  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines along with highly developed time management skills.
  • Makes recommendations based on rigorous analysis and investigation.
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Contributes to planning and resource allocation to ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Possess flexibility and adaptability to manage changing work requirements and varying volumes of work.
  • Produces high quality, wellstructured documents that are fit for purpose and require mínimal editing
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to confidently communicate requests and instructions to individuals and groups.
  • Uphold safe work practices and APS Values and Code of Conduct and positive behaviours

Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain a

Baseline Security Clearance to be considered.
