Lead / Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering) Full time Add expected salary to your profile for insights Due to our continued success and growth as a business, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead/Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, will see you tasked with supporting and overseeing the delivery of the power systems engineering elements of our projects, in collaboration with the Project Managers and other stakeholders.

This role will have a significant level of autonomy and will require you to:

Mentor and lead junior and mid-level staff to deliver complex technical tasks across a range of generation and power systems related projects.


Medium Voltage Design:
Primary and Secondary Protection, Switchgear Specification, Equipment Specification, Earthing System Design, Earth Grid Design, MV/LV Substation Design.

Low Voltage Design:
Protection, Metering Applications, Switchgear Design, Equipment Specification.

Power System Analysis:
Fault Current Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Protection Grading Studies, Fault Loop Impedance, Harmonic Analysis, Arc Flash Analysis.

Investigation and Reporting:
Fault Finding, Equipment Limitations, Compliance Reporting.

Commissioning:
Low Voltage and Medium Voltage electrical systems, Pre-commissioning of protection systems.

Co-Generation Electrical Design and Construct:
Diesel Generators, Bio-Fuel Generators.
Renewable Energy System Design and Construction.

The Person Technical and commercial experience gained in a wide range of relevant market sectors and technologies Significant number of years of experience with power system modelling software such as PTWProduce design and test documentation to a professional standard Perform testing with customers Carry out on-site commissioning Highly motivated, organised, and flexible Positive, personable, and efficient team player / team lead Good understanding of technical project life cycle Australian Permanent Resident Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in the electrical HV Power Systems Design or Renewables space RPEQ (or in the process of obtaining)Construction Industry White Card Class C Drivers Licence (QLD)What We Offer Joining our high performing and diverse team, you will have the opportunity to deliver major infrastructure projects across the range of segments and build relationships with the wider Actemium network.
